Life as a single mother compelled her to exit her acting career.
As a young toddler, she grew up above a curry house experiencing and observing hatred of all forms. Even now as an adult it has never stopped.
She is also currently campaigning on #BrokeArts and #ArtsTheft to smash the barriers caused to disadvantaged actors due to poverty and copyright theft.
When she is not acting she is also leading Lovedesh, a new ethical luxury brand designed to protect our planet.
She lives in London.
Iris Canet trained at the Academy of Creative Training in the UK and worked in the performing arts industry with companies such as La Fura dels Baus, Onatti, BAW Bilingual, Trans Express, Mischief La Bas.
Her creative career combines directing and writing several opera, theatre and dance shows. She directed the 125th anniversary of “Foc i Fum”, the original and well acclaimed musical “Xoroi” and co-wrote and co-directed the Spanish national tour of “Darwin”
She was in charge of the theatre workshops at Cercle Artistic and has collaborated with international actors and directors.
Iris joined Hate2love as she believes in challenging and social issues and concerns through artistic and creative expression.
